## Files

- `Lakeland_Wayback_2004_before_restoration.jpg`: full-page screenshot of the archived page as accessed, with missing main photograph.
- `Lakeland_Golden_Magnum_Illusion_restored.html`: self-contained local facsimile. Open in a browser; no separate image folder is needed.
- `Lakeland_Golden_Magnum_Illusion_restored_full_page.jpg`: full-page browser capture of the restored local page, including banner, navigation, article, footer and guestbook graphic.
- `Lakeland_Fred_Griffith_archive_photo.jpg`: unmodified replacement photograph from the existing Magnum Illusion archive, retaining printed caption and Fred Griffith credit.

## Restoration record

Original archived HTML structure, article wording, colors, type settings and three-column layout were retained. A text comparison confirmed unchanged visible text. The missing main photograph was replaced with the matching owner-held archive image at the original HTML display dimensions, 775 × 389 pixels. Its source dimensions are 760 × 382 pixels.

The surviving Lakeland banner and Bravenet guestbook graphic were retrieved from their observed Wayback image URLs and embedded. The obsolete search tracking image was replaced by a blank one-pixel image. Navigation and search destinations point to the archive rather than unresolved local paths; historical controls are preserved but their remote services are not guaranteed to function.

The restored HTML embeds its images and can display offline. All four image slots were verified as loaded in the browser. This is a restored facsimile with a substituted photograph, not an untouched Wayback capture or proof of the exact appearance on an unspecified earlier visit. No AI-generated image or retyped article was used for this restoration.
